Terms and Conditions for Authors (CC BY 4.0)

I. INTRODUCTORY PROVISIONS

  1. Romano džaniben z.s. (hereinafter referred to as the “Publisher”) publishes a journal called Romano džaniben (hereinafter referred to as the “Journal”).

  2. The Author wishes to publish their work (hereinafter referred to as the “Work”) in the Journal, and therefore makes it available to the Publisher.

  3. By submitting the Work for consideration, the Author consents to the publication of the Work in both print and electronic versions of the Journal and grants the Publisher a licence to use the Work under the conditions specified herein.


II. UTILIZATION OF THE WORK

  1. The Author hereby grants the Publisher permission to exercise the right to use the Work (licence) for all types of uses without limitation. The Publisher is entitled especially to:

    a) publish and reproduce the Work in print or electronic form, in the Journal or any other periodical or non-periodical publication, without limitation to circulation;
    b) rent, lend, and exhibit the Work;
    c) communicate the Work to the public in immaterial form, including online access at any time and place chosen by the user;
    d) use the Work for commercial and non-commercial promotion of the Publisher, the Journal, or related activities;
    e) incorporate the Work, in whole or in part, with other copyrighted or non-copyrighted works, texts, images, photographs, or sounds, including inclusion in databases or collections;
    f) allow third parties to use the Work, provided that the Author is credited and the full bibliographic citation of the Journal is given (Journal name, volume, issue, DOI).

  2. The licence is granted:

    a) non-exclusively, so the Author retains the right to use the Work and to grant usage rights to others,
    b) for the duration of the copyright,
    c) worldwide,
    d) with the right to grant sublicences or assign the licence to third parties, including further transfers.

  3. The Publisher must always credit the Author when using the Work.

  4. The Publisher is not required to use the licence in its entirety.

  5. The licence is granted free of charge, unless otherwise agreed by the parties.

  6. The Work will be published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, available at:
    https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode


III. AUTHOR’S WARRANTY

  1. The Author warrants that the Work is original, has not been previously published, and that using it will not violate any rights of third parties or applicable law.

  2. The Author confirms that no exclusive licence has been granted to any third party prior to this agreement.

  3. If any loss or damage arises from legal defects of the Work, the Author will compensate the Publisher or third parties deriving rights under this agreement.

  4. In the case of co-authored Work, the submitting Author confirms that they are authorized to grant the licence on behalf of all co-authors.


IV. PUBLISHER’S OBLIGATIONS

The Publisher agrees to provide the Author, after publication, with a PDF copy of the Work and one printed copy of the Journal issue in which it was published.


V. CONSENT TO PROCESS PERSONAL DATA

The Author consents to the processing of personal data (name, surname, workplace, email) for purposes of publication and inclusion of the Work in bibliographic and scientific databases, in accordance with Part II, paragraph 1.


VI. FINAL PROVISIONS

  1. This agreement is governed by the law of the Czech Republic, particularly the Copyright Act and the Civil Code.

  2. Any amendments to this agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties.


Since 2010, Romano džaniben magazine has been published in both print and electronic form. In 2015, the entire archive of the magazine was made available online. Authors of archived texts who do not agree with their online publication can contact the journal's editorial office; upon request, the relevant text will be removed from the electronic archive.
